“Doing Ethics in Your Coaching Practice”

Network Webinar – July 16, 2020

11:30-12:30 Eastern

It takes more than being an “ethical person” to stay aligned with the ICF Code of Ethics as we navigate ethical challenges. We have to be ready with ethical business practices, and the ability to make tough choices, often under stressful and uncertain circumstances.

Sue McLeod believes we are better prepared to face ethical challenges when we

      Know what’s expected of us as professional, credentialed coaches;

      Think about and prepare for challenges before they occur;

      Incorporate ethics into our business practices and agreements; and

      Have a trusted colleague to call for help when challenges occur

In this one-hour webinar, we will take a peek into the 2019 updated ICF Code of Ethics. We’ll talk about the sticky situations facing today’s coaches. And Sue will introduce you to her structured approach to thinking through ethical challenges.

Why talk about Ethics in Coaching?

a)    It’s a requirement for holding your ICF credential

b)   Strong ethics are a foundation for effective coaching relationships.

c)    It’s interesting and fun!

d)   All of the above

Sue has been having serious conversations with coaches about the ICF Code of Ethics since 2013 in my Ethics in Coaching and Coaching Master Classes. My students will tell you that the correct answer is D - All of the above.

Please join Sue on July 16 for a fun, interesting, fast-paced peek into Ethics in Coaching.

Sue McLeod, PCC, Certified Mentor Coach

Sue has been working with coaches for over 15 years as a coach, trainer, mentor, and assessor. She believes that all coaches have the potential to be masterful. When coaches use the skills from their coach training, are aware of what gets in their way, and engage in practice and reflection about their work, they can tap into their best coaching self.

Sue's coach training programs, retreats and mentor coaching provide safe spaces for coaches to be open and honest about the challenges they face, and motivation and support to overcome those challenges.

Sue holds a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) credential from the International Coach Federation (ICF), a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC) credential from the Coaches Training Institute (CTI). She has successful completed a Certificate in Mentor Coaching with InviteChange. Sue is a faculty member for Georgetown University's Leadership Coaching Certificate Program, and in her own business teaches online virtual programs on the ICF Coaching Competencies and Code of Ethics.
